do you think it helps teach them lessons and is better than them trying it out in reality ,do you think it helps release the sexual tension some teens might get, if you have any other thoughts you can write them down

How do you feel about teens and porn?
Some people are mentally prepared for porn at 13, but some are not. The ones that are not can develop some serious issues if they are exposed to sexual themes too soon. So, it might be ok for some, but it would definitely be bad for others.
Reply:It's no use to say it's illegal because it's so largely unenforcable. That's just a false assurance. It's a fact that "sex" is the number one searched word on the internet, and the adult entertainment industry is one of the largest and growing businesses ever.





They say that porn distorts the meaning of sex, teaches sexual aggression and perverseness, and portrays women as sex objects. That may be so, but to be honest I don't think so as long as people are conscientious on what sex actually is. Of course there are things that shouldnt' be done, but porn is just like any other entertainment like violent movies and video games. I think as long as it doesn't get to your head or dominates your life, or becomes the only sex life you have, then there's not much of a problem. The point of watching porn isn't about the underlying degrading aspect of it, but why you watch it to entertain yourself. If you have the knowledge and awareness, you can be mature enough (even if your age is not) to distinguish from it and reality.





About women being portrayed as sex objects, I don't think that exactly goes only one way either. Yes, there is no meaning to porn in terms of actual love and respect. But after all, the thousands of women willingly partake in porn doesn't seem to think it's so, other than they want to display themselves to the whole world. No one's forcing them (at least for the vast majority).





And everyone has sexual tensions. For some, it might well save them from trying it out in reality. Teenagers are curious, it's natural and understandable. This goes back to even the caveman era of human history, cavemen drew pornographic art on the walls of their caves.

But at least they aren't getting pregnant or getting a girl pregnant.

It helps fufills their curiosity in a safe and unharmful way.


I think it does release some sexual tension along the way, because they dont need to fufill their curiosity through unnecessary secual encounters.
Reply:Would you eat out of a garbage can? Then why put garbage in your beautiful mind? Porn distorts what sex is all about. It objectifies women. It teaches you to replace love and respect with lust and using people. It is also addictive.
Reply:yes, it realeases sexual tension. if there was no porn, more rape would occur. also some of the moves they teach in the movies, is good practice for when it comes down to the real thing. i would feel uncomfortable watching more then boobs with my friends, but other then that LONG LIVE PORN!

Reply:i just wanted to say to to person who said who as sexual tensions at 13 you do realize taht humans become sexual mature and 12-13 naturally and that the only reason that sex is een as somethign you should do after your 18 is because schools wanted students to concentrated on school my college science teacher talked alot on theat subject one day and to teh lady who said it degraded women why is ti always degrading to women if the girl willing did and why can't it be degrading to men as well
Reply:I think its ok. Its a good thing. Yes, they are naturally curious and some teens do it with friends to answer questions about themselves without being embarrased. Its a good way to know what is going to be out there in the future.

Reply:Well, for starters if teens are looking at it online and they're under the age of 18 or sometimes 21, its illegal. Sexual tension? Why would someone at age 13 have sexual tension? Thats way too young to be dealing with sexual issues in the first place. Porn is disgusting, I don't see what the big deal about it is. Its for horny old men who want to watch it instead of going out and raping little girls and young women. I guess thats commendable. Teenagers need to be having fun with their friends and starting to form healthy relationships. I think teens should wait until they have a rock solid bond to have sex and sadly, that rarely seems to happen these days. When you have a good relationship with someone you love, you can have sex with them instead of looking at filthy websites. I personally think you should be 18 to do that. That's when you're officially an adult and can deal with adult issues properly. 13 and 14 year olds have no business looking at porn, having sexual tension OR having sex. Plus, it'll give your computer viruses. When the computer repair guy comes by to fix it and sees 2 million porn sites, that's going to be a little awkward.
