What item isn't marketed to teens, that I could market to teens?

I am doing a project in school. We have to find an item or product that ISN'T marketed to teens and flip it around and try and market it TO teens.

People have given me the idea of happy meal from McDonald's because it would be funny, and surprisingly a large amount of teens in this area actually buy happy meals or have contemplated it at one point or another.

Someone said credit cards, and also dating sites. Can anyone help me out? I'm really stuck.

What item isn't marketed to teens, that I could market to teens?
How about cool websites that have really cool tips about life, like the one I've got bookmarked called Starving Student's Survival Strategies. It's got some neat sh*t in it.

I'll post the link for you below...
Reply:vacuum cleaners

lawn mowers

like other cleaning products ( kinda boring )

or like a toothbrush. our class is designing an ad for the tooth tunes toothbrush...
Reply:A place to start is anything that is designed for older people. Check out the cell phone called the Jitterbug. Trying to sell that to teens would be a real challenge!

What about a cleaning service? Could you market that to teens for their rooms? Might be interesting. Most services are aimed at adults - lawncare, dogwalking, etc. Could be something in that area you could work with.
Reply:restaurants... real ones, but if its a product... then I'd say Shampoo believe it or not... could work as teens are so conscience of their bodies
Reply:Come up with something a bit more original . Children's toys have been appealing to teens for a very long time. Try looking at something that adults do, and figure out a way to make it look "cool".
Reply:Herbs %26amp; Vitamins, their good for you no matter what your age. Plus it might actually hit home with a few and do some good for somebody.
Reply:at home businesses.
Reply:"Sponsor a child" (World Vision)

or other community service.
Reply:Business fashion and formal wear
Reply:Hover-rounds (the chair for older folks)

Denture-cream

laundry detergent

industrial rubber mats to stand on when working

any of the women's magazines that has a lot of practical advice and recipes in them (my teenagers won't touch these! LOL)

toilet bowl cleaners
Reply:car floormats

with designs on them

haha
Reply:Some very good ideas here... I love the cleaning or lawn service idea, or dog walking...Concentrating on chores that teenagers usually have to do is a good angle.

Also, how about Milk or V-8 juice, or - or some other food that's good for you that they are always marketing to the concerned mother? You can make it cool to drink milk.

A Mini-van - do a great campaign about a bunch of teenagers having fun driving the mini-van to a concert or something..

Sounds like a fun project- good luck!
