Why are teens so interested in the house party's and drugs these days?

teens are so into defying thier parents,going drinking passing out,taking drugs,having sex at 13,doing all these things.. i wana know what satisfaction you people (teens) get out of this?

I wonder the same thing (I'm 15) and I can't walk into a class without hearing "I got so drunk last night," "Do you want to skip and smoke in the bathroom 3rd hour?" "She was so high" "I did it with my boyfriend last night" "So I woke up in a boys shirt..." ect....





It's annoying. Do they think they're "cool" drinking before the legal age? Because they're not.





I'm 15, I don't plan to drink, or smoke for the rest of my life. (If I do drink I will be over 21)
Reply:i like to go to parties and have fun but i would never do drugs. I think teeens do it because they think it will get them more firends and look cooler

sadly alot of it is true. but alot of the things you hear in a highschool hall is bull sh!t they are doing it to look cool
Reply:one that's a blanket statement which i resent. i have never done drugs or drank alcohol is my life! and 'these days' it's called the late sixties - seventies!

The only time I will drink is a few sips if I ask my father and he complies

And I don't wanna have sex till I found someone I'm willing to spend my life with.
Reply:I've been trying to figure that out myself. I'm 18 and am probably the only person I know who's never drank, had sex or taken drugs. Simply because I think it's stupid.
Reply:the teens that are interested in this are the kids that end up getting in trouble more with with there parents or the law.


i love house party's.and i have drank but i would never do drugs i have sen what it dose to people and its not a good thing.at all.


i guess teens or just trying to prove that they can handle it.


some of the teachers at my school say its like its an act to be tough.and its a "sickness" and most kids are infected.


and i guess to them were all "infected".

Reply:that's offensive, because my friends and I aren't ANYTHING like that. that's a stereotype. just like "why are all adults uptight and annoying?" because obviously, not ALL of them are.
Reply:kay first of all, not all teens are like that. me and my friends arnt like that. i mean, i like partys but doing drugs and drinking is gay.


most kids do do that stuff only because they think they are cool getting drunk and high for whatever reason and because the crowd they hang out with does it.
Reply:many people take dugs at some point just for the experience, some parents are too restrictive (out of love or watever) and some teens feel the need to push against it, sometimes just to have space. and well, 13 yr olds are stupid and often just seek the approval of people/friends a couple of years older
Reply:Look, this is just the way teens are. They have rebelliousness in them and they are not fully mature yet. Back in the 1970's drug addictions and other things like that were worse so there is nothing significant about the behavoirs in "these days."

Reply:Get over it. Their aint sh.it we can do unless they wanna be helped. If thats what they like theres no way you can stop them. Theres drugs, parties, teen sex and people passing out every where as i type right now. So flush it down the toilet and get over it!!! THERES NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT!!! Also worry about your self. Dont worry about no one else, but you. If thats what they like let them be.
Reply:I am 15 and am not into that kind of thing at all. For the teens that do make poor choices, they are probably just going through hard times and dont know how to handle things properly cause they are so young.
