Goodie Bags for Pre Teens at Wedding???

My fiancee and I have several nieces/nephews and cousins in their pre teens coming to our wedding. They will be the only "children" there and I wanted to provide them with goodie bags to help keep them occupied. We all know how those akward teen years go and hanging out with the "old folks" is not an option but won't dance in fear of looking like dorks! So I just want to give the kids something to keep busy with so they aren't bored... all though our wedding will be lots of fun... just maybe not teen age fun! Any ideas would be super helpful!!!

Goodie Bags for Pre Teens at Wedding???
*Maybe glow in the dark items?

(necklaces, mouth wafers, etc)....

*fake tatoos?

*disposable cameras?

*my 12 yr old suggest wedding bubbles and some good sweet and sour candy--she says "the sourer the better!" I suppose it's funny to watch your 'peers' face scrunch up! LOL

She also said candy necklaces and ring pops are still cool w/her friends.

*If there's any sort of trading cards that are still popular w/kids that age in your area (sort of like how Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Yo cards were not long back....)

These are just a few ideas I came up with...if I ---or my daughter!---come up w/anything else, I'll come back.
Reply:Don't!

Unless you are giving Playstations and IPods, don't bother. Most kids just love being at a wedding. Anyone that I've ever seen can teach the old f+rts a thing or two on the dance floor. It's part of life to learn to behave properly at social functions.
Reply:a small hand game, lip gloss, light eyeshadow, small body spray, cute small brush for purse, candy, and I like their idea of a camera.
Reply:Any preteens and teens I know enjoy totally visiting with people at all ages, and get out there on the dance floor!

I really don't think you should be providing anything....
Reply:Maybe you could ask an auntie to shepherd them into some fun dance type of stuff. They also love going to the bar and ordering virgin drinks, in pretty glasses to feel sophisticated.

But a disposable camera can be lots of fun and you might get some crazy, different or unposed shots.

Of course, the kids would say...GAME SYSTEM DS LITE!!! but I am guessing you don't have that much cash, LOL

Maybe a teen quiz book that they can pass around to get them chatting (look in the youth section of the bookstore)
Reply:i think they would luv 2 go out there %26amp;%26amp; dance if u have some fun mucic.
Reply:unless you give them mini bottles of rum and packs of cigerettes, its not gonna be fun for them. hanging out w/family instead of spending time with your friends when youre a teenager is torture. play good music they can dance to and give them lots of candy and cake and hope for the best.
Reply:One idea that I saw was a disposable camera - they can take pics of the wedding and if you want them to return them to you, you can or you can tell them to keep them. But if you have good food and a good DJ that plays songs that get them involved (electric slide, macarena, conga line) they shouldn't get too bored.
Reply:Things like magazines or colouring books with crayons or coloured pencils are fun and inexpensive. (I'm 27 and still love colouring books but depending on the age/gender that may not work so well!) Packs of cards, sudoku or other puzzle books, travel games, etc - anything that they can do together might be fun. Having them be in charge of the disposable cameras might be a cool idea - I would've loved that! Give them a list in their bag with the tables or things that they need to take photos of (cake, dance floor, gifts, etc).

I went to my first wedding when I was 12 and was bored out of my mind. Great idea to get something for the kids to do while they're there. Chances are, parents will think of this ahead of time and come prepared with Gameboys or books.
Reply:Mp3 players already loaded with their favorite songs then they would be completely occupied!!Uhh...probably too expensive,huh?Magazines,lipgloss,disposa... cameras for their own memories, picture frames...for the boys i really don't know...i think cameras would be good for them too.
