Recipes for Teens?

I'm looking for some recipes for teens, the recipes should be for teens 12-14. I can use hot things so don't worry.

I can't make " American" things. Like hamburger, pizza etc.

If this helps I'm asian. I want recipes that won't take too long to make. Thanks alot!

Recipes for Teens?
Garlic Mushrooms on toast:

Get a pack of mushrooms.

Get two slices of toast.

Cut the mushroom up and get two cloves of garlic.

Fry the mushroom in butter, with the cloves of garlic, for about 15 minutes.

Toast the bread.

Put the mushrooms on the bread.

Enjoy!

French Onion Soup made easy:

Get three onions and cut them.

Fry them for 5 minutes in a pan with some garlic.

Add 5 dl of vegetable stock to the onions, and add some pepper and herbs (italian mixed herbs, or thyme). Let it boil for 20 minutes.

Cut up some old bread, and get some cheese.

Pour the soup into an onion-proof dish and put the toast on top, with cheese over that again (mature cheddar or mozzarella).

Put in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is golden.

Serve!

These two got me through many a day at home when my parents were at work (When I was 13), so they should be alright for you :)
Reply:I love Paula Deen's cooking. Everything she makes is easy and good. foodnetwork.com select Paula's Home Cooking. There is another show called Semi-homemade Cooking. Everything that she makes is easy but I haven't tried any of her recipes. Racheal Ray's 30 Minute meals may help you also. All are at foodnetwork.com. Good Luck!

Reply:Hi, here are some recipies i use now i'm at uni :)

Lemon Chicken for 2 (assume 1 of each for each person)

2 Chicken Breasts (cut into strips)

2 Lemons

Honey to taste

A little garlic/garlic paste (optional)

This is great for party food, and is quick and simple. You can dress it as a main meal by serving it with salad and rice.

Fry the chicken on a highish heat in the juice from one lemon, and peel and slice the othe lemon. (i just cut the ends off and then cut down the lemon with a knife to get rid of the rind) Add the lemon slices to the pan, and allow to simmer on a lower heat but still bubbling until the sauce has reduced some. Then just add as much honey as you like, it will make the sauce sticky and sweeter, so that the lemon is not too bitter. Reduce sauce to desired stickyness. There will just be enough to coat each piece. Takes about 15mins.

Pork + Apple for 2

2 Pork Fillets

100ml Cider

1/2 Dessert (normal) apple

1/2 red onion

Sage to taste

This is a tasty meal but may be a bit strong, you can ommit the onion if the kids don't like it, but red onions are sweet anyway, so should be acceptable.

Cut pork into strips. Roughly chop onion and fry until soft. Then add pork, and brown it. Add the sage (a pinch should do it) but this gives a stronger flavour so the kids may not like. Add cider and reduce. Finally add apple and cook till soft. Takes about 20mins.

Feta Chicken for 2

2 Chicken Breasts

1 Jar Feta cheese cubes in oil (this is a tasty greek cheese that is very popular here in the uk). Patros is a good brand.

1 tablespoon olive oil

Medeterranean herbs (come in jars all mixed up)

1 Tin of Tomatoes (if you can get these with basil/herbs already added this is good)

Garlic paste (one teaspoon or less)

This is a make and then freeze job, the chicken breasts can be stuffed in advance and defrosted when needed, but prep takes 5 mins anyway.

Take about 1/3 to half of the jar of fet cubes and put them in a bowl. Add the oil and a squeeze of garlic paste. Mix to a thick paste. The cheese cubes can be crushed with the back of the spoon. The chicken breasts can then have a pocket cut in them (like cutting into a pitta bread) and the cheese mixture inserted. Press the opening shut and place the chicken into a deep baking dish. Add the tinned tomatoes on top, and put any spare cheese mix on top of that. Then stick it in the oven at 180 degrees (gas mark 7) for about 30 mins. 35 if you want to be sure.

Kid Friendly salad.

Salad (iceburg lettuce only really)

Fruit (apples, grapes, tomatoes)

Ham

Combine all of these however you like, kids don't like the stronger tasting salad leaves, so iceberg is the best. Half to 1/4 of an apple each is best, and 1-2 tomatoes. Leave out the ham if it's a side salad. Fried or gilled chicken can be included as a substitute.

Enjoy!

Hope this helps :) i know my mum had a nightmare feeding me, i was very fussy! Many sauces ans pastas anlso give quick easy meals. spaghetti carbonara is my favourite :)

Reply:I have a recipe which i use when i'm to prepare dinner in 30 minutes

Ingredients:

2 eggs (or 3 if u are serving for 3)

1 can of cooked red beans

4 slices of garlic

some parsley leaves (this part is my addition - makes it taste better)

Method:

1. fry the eggs first, put it in a big bowl

2. fry the garlic until it is fragrant, then pour in the red beans to heat it up (can add a pinch of parsley to add to the taste).

(if you have time, can add minced meat or prawns after you put in the garlic)

3. Then, pour the red beans on top of the eggs.

Have fun! and enjoy your meal =)
