They got caught with other stolen stuff, but then said "We threw the Fabergé Egg into the woods," apparently because it would be too conspicuous, raise suspicions. Uneasy to fence...
They have no idea exactly where, cannot find.
Do you think they are telling the truth? Or do they expect teen penalty now, possible riches later?

Spoilt Michigan teens steal Fabergé Egg...?
I think they probably know where it is and expect to fence years later, otherwise why steal it, and then claim to have pitched it. If they didn't know the value of it they wouldn't have taken it.
Reply:I would send them to prison. How much was it worth. I think they are lying.
