Hi. I'm doing (or trying to) the same thing - writing a book for teens, but for teens a bit older, and funny, you just asked the question I've been meaning to ask for a while now.

I think for your target audience, a good one would be freshman year at high school.

I like reading books with all of the above and more in them, but that might be a bit much, so maybe you should just try writing what YOU'RE interested in. It's a lot more fun, and if you've gone through it yourself, it's a lot easier (less research).

Well, good luck on your book. =)

Oh, I don't do it, I just mean I like reading about it.

I also like teen romance.

It takes my mind off of my own romance-less life.
