Why do teens think themselves as adults and not have fun?

I'm 13. I like to jump and play like a child. I'm funny too. Problem is, I don't know why my other friends can't be like that. They always - you know want to be "mature" etc... I mean ou don't seee teens even going trick or treating nor having fun. They always wear those kind of adult clothes and make-up annd are so fragile. They're missing the fun! I really can't understand this....Teen life is supposed to build friendship not adults...

Reply:my husband is 45 - he still acts like he is 13... sometimes its cool - sometimes its annoying - although to be true, I do also.. which is why we are good together - neither of us could stand to be with a person who didnt know how to have fun - I cannot stand the "PRINCESS" girls..





most people are too scared to really have fun.. dont worry about it....
Reply:Young people try to act grown. i did it to. I'm 18 now and believe me your still young. they want to grow up fast and when they grow up (like 35, 40) they want to relive their youth. Ironic huh?. Your gonna grow anyway so enjoy every year and day you grow. Act like a 13 year old tho, not a 5 year old and you will be okay. Even if your friends don't see eye to eye with you.





Oh yeah and w2hen your a teen you grow into an adult. That's the point of it. Don't rush it, let nature take its course.

Reply:um teen years are also about getting ready for the adult world. I agree your friends should have more fun i do it too im 14 and i like to play water guns still, but i also like to get ready for some of things i may experience in life. Its ok to play most of the time but open some time for more "adult" activities

Though sometimes the sillyness has to stop because it can annoy other people, but some of the girls at our school act way to mature and dont lauhg at anything. it's like what's your problem! also once you start liking boys you'll notice yourself mature up as you want to impress them, as they dont like crazy/weird outlandish gfs!
Reply:i wear make-up and all but me and my bff are like you (we're 14), all the others are having "mature conversations" but me and her are having fun...usually with the people a year younger or older than us cause they just have more life in them! It's ok...just enjoy the fun while it lasts...
Reply:some people grow up...i mean its a time n place for that.i know i dont go outside and run around. i dont think im grown or mature but i do know i dont go outside and play. little to old for that. remember this nobody is your friend. you dont bulid friends in your teen years.you not even in high school yet.

Reply:Well it's one of the problems with some teens these days. People do what the masses do and the masses are trying to grow up asap. Enjoy your childhood.
