Reply:I'm 18. I'm also an aspiring journalist/current events junkie, so I might be a bit unusual, but hey.

When I'm at home and have access to the paper, I read The Los Angeles Times and The New York Times.

LAT: Section A, California section, and Calendar section every day, plus the comics, opinions, food, West, and Parade sections when applicable.

NYT: Front section and Arts section every day, plus Week in Review, the NYT magazine, and Dining when applicable.

I've probably had these same habits since I started high school - so about 14.

When I don't have actual paper copies available, I get them online, so it's a little more slapdash, but I try to stay informed. I also read my college paper, follow Yahoo! News, and get podcasts from The Washington Post, The New York Times, and NPR, among other sources.

I don't know how much research you need on the topic, but this is a book I've been reading for my journalism class that suits the topic and is interesting and informative:

Tuned Out: Why Americans Under 40 Don't Follow the News by David T. Z. Mindich

Best of luck!
Reply:i read the paper. normally i just read the cover story if its interesting, sometimes further. Also i like the "ask Abby" column and the comics, which are placed so conveniently near each other.
Reply:I'm 14 and I read all the major headlines, concentrating on international news but also following technology and entertainment. I also keep track of baseball with the paper.
Reply:Well, I'm still a teen for a few more months. I read the whole paper usually, except for the sport and classifieds. When I was a younger teen, I usually went straight for the comics, everything was boring to me.

But now, I'm mostly interested in the entire news sections.
Reply:Age: 15

Yes, I read the paper about once a week give or take. Usually the "Northwest Living" section, or "Business" for technology updates. And who doesn't read the comics?
Reply:im 17 almost 18 and i try to read the paper as often as i can i read almost all of it except for the sports . its a great way to no whats going on in the world
Reply:I will usually read something that start on the main page and sends me somewhere else. I also like reading all about politics and stories about charities.
