Why do teens follow fashion trend? More answers please.?

Apart from the fact that teens want to fit in, atract the opposite sex, and that they don't have enough experience with making their own trend. Why do teens follow fashion trend?


If possible please go even more specific, why do Thai teenagers like to follow this "Korean-Japanese trend"?


Please answer me if you have any ideas, I need answers urgently.

There are just some people that don't have enough creativity to have their own sense of style. They read a magazine, see a pair of shoes or a shirt they like, and buy it. There's not really much wrong with it.





I don't really like the follow what everyone else is wearing, but once in a while I like a trend that pops up.





Usually when a trend becomes really big, it's because a lot of people like it. Take the ballet flats. Almost everyone has a pair, because they're both cute and comfortable. Or converse.





Thai teenagers follow that trend because it's what they see everyone wearing. As long as they add a bit of personal touch to it, it's not bad.





If you see a celebrity wearing a shirt that you like, it's not a crime to go out and buy one the same style.
Reply:Teens follow trends because they want to be apart of the "bandwagon" some teens dont know how to be themselves and find their own sense of fashion, thats why entertainment artists are looked to for fashion because teens like to follow the trends of those that are rich and famous.
Reply:Because they want to bone the QB or the cheerleaders and will do whatever anyone tells them to do in order to make this dream a reality.





Asian stuff is pretty and attracts people of the western world because it is different from what we know. So, western people sport this stuff for poontang.





It is all about getting laid and getting high in high school. The building and the clasrooms are just where it is staged and the parking lot is where it is consumated.
Reply:They try to follow what the media/magazines say is in at the moment so that they can look better and more stylish than their friends first, who will usually rush to follow the trend set by that person
