Teens doing dog agility?

Teens doing dog agility?
i do it with my irish terrier theres this really god dog treat that is good for him that he loves so when im doing that he has to see the treat and when he does it right i give it to him the first couple of times were doing something new i show him what to do and do it with him.
Reply:yes. no. Its fun though
Reply:I started training my own dogs in agility when I was only nine years old, and then throughout my teen years. I am now in my twenties and I still love it! It never gets boring and I love having such fun with my pups!!
Reply:I'm not a teen but I have done agility with my 10y/o yellow female. Labs love running the courses. Just keep a positive attitude when training and never get mad at your dog.

To agile schnauzies: I'll look for you at the Nationals. They are being held here in Tulsa and people from the club I belong to(Tulsa Dog Training Club) are organizing the volunteers.

They are using 2 arenas at the Fairgrounds with a total of 5 rings.
Reply:There are more and more teens getting involved in agility. Many have parents in the sport. The sport is growing by leaps and bounds (literally!) every year.

My only tip is to train every week, even if only a little. Hopefully you have a trainer to work with on a regular basis, if not, check with agility clubs in your area, see who might be teaching lessons or who might be bringing in nationally known trainers for seminars.

Good luck and have fun!
Reply:I am a teenager and compete with my two dogs. The only tip that I really have is to have fun. I know that you are probably going to hear that alot, but it cannot be said enough. Good luck with your lab!
