Is it true for the most part among teens?

It is true that most teens don't know what they want in their future, compared to those who do?

I've had teens on my past questions and they're way obsessed with parenthood, having a family, and all that. Are most teens just saying that because they're young?

Some teens said they don't want kids, but said they might change their minds in the future (annoying). I'm an exception because I don't want kids, and won't change my mind, like most would predict.

I'm in the minority. When I was 15, I knew what I wanted and didn't want. Don't judge me please?

Have you known any young people who've claimed they didn't want kids, and hadn't changed their minds about it? Do you know any teens who are like this?

PS: People asked why I block too much, and the reason for that is people always come and post nonsense and always harass me based on the questions I ask. Right now, I have over 150 blocked users, close to 200.

I'm 17 and I know what I want and what I don't. I know I absolutely know I do NOT want kids. I personally think most teens say they want kids because of the reactions or because in some weird way it makes them seem grown up. But I know alot of teens who don't want kids either.
Reply:i know a lot of people that say a lot of things are 100% sure that they won't change their mind. matter of fact i was one of those people and it just so happened that i let things get the best of me. but your you and if you can stick to your word great and if you can't better luck next time with something else.
Reply:No one really knows what they want or dont want when they are teenagers. No one I have known ever did. As you grow and mature, your outlook on things changes and so do your desires. My mom laughs because growing up I said I would never have kids and I am pregnant with my third one. I wouldnt have it any other way.
Reply:I think that teens say what they want in life as they get older but really they have no idea what life is going to have in store for them. Some do what they say and some don't. It's a choice that can be altered in a second when one is older than when one is younger.
Reply:I think teens just say that because they have no idea what it is really like to have kids. They don't put that much thought into it. They think life will always be fun and a huge party. I never imagined having kids, but things don't always go as planned!!
Reply:hmm i dont think i know any ppl that said they never did or they did an changed there mind personally ive always wanted to be a mum im not sure why it could be my mum was such a screw up that i wanted to make sure i had kids an didnt turn out like her :)
Reply:Well yeah im a teenager and i change my mind all the time, well were young we still have time to think right!!
Reply:yea
Reply:yea. i no a lot of people like that. my bestfriend didnt want a baby EVER until we found out lastnight that she was preg!
Reply:As a teen, you're trying to figure out who you are as a person so things may or may not appeal to you now, but will appeal to you later. But there are certain things certain people will not compromise on.

My mom had me when my sister was 13...so my sister found out firsthand how hard it is to take care of a baby. So she didn't want kids. Now she's older [she's 30ish] and still doesn't have kids...she says she's waiting until she has established a career...but I'm pretty sure she isn't having kids. None of my cousins [who range from mid 20s through early 30s] seem to have a plan to have kids.

I definetly want kids because my calling in life is to be a mother. Everything else can happen and if it doesn't, I won't be devastated or anything. But I need to have kids or else I'd feel like I'm missing something in my life...
