Teens Allowance?

do any teens without jobs besides me still get an allowance or am I spoiled...lol

Yeah. I still get an allowance- until the summer when I go out and get a job.

Reply:I don't really get an allowance... But my mom gives me 500 a month for lunch, entertainment, and clothing.
Reply:i dont get an allowance anymore. if i want money for something i just ask and they usually give it to me. but this summer im gonna get a job at my grandmas business so i can earn my own money.
Reply:i'm 13....and i get $20 a month. but my parents never buy me expensive electronics. and i buy most of my own clothes too. [except for jeans. my mommy pays for those] like i have and ipod, nintendo DS, cell phone, etc..but i have 2 pay for like have of all of them. even for christmas the most expensive thing i got this year was $40. and the rest was from the dollar store. and my birthday was in january and i still havn't gotten my present. i told my mom that i either wanted a digital camera or UGGS and my dad's like "yeah...and i want my own jet". my parents are the cheapest parents EVER. and ps. i still havn't gotten my bday present and i doubt i will.

But, I do help my mom out because she is my mom, you can't add money to that.

Reply:You're lucky you get an allowance. I'm lucky when my parent's give my 5 bucks for the movies. Anywho, getting an allowance doesn't make you spoiled. If you get $100 every time you ask for it and they buy you a super expensive car for your 14th, 15th, and 16th birthday, then it might be considered spoiled.
Reply:never got one, i think its best that way, if mom or dad think that its ok for me to have something then i get it, but i don't get money, I just do what I am told
Reply:if you work around the house and get good grades for your allowance then you deserve it.

Reply:No i never have gotten an allowance even though i have always done chores which sucks...but that doesnt mean ur spoiled
Reply:I quit paying my teen because he is loved and cute.. he needs to help out around here to get a weekly allowence but we will pay for an outing.

Reply:My son is 17 and he still gets an allowance. He gsts like $50 a week but he has to keep his room clean, dishes 2 times a week, and taking the trash out when its full. Also give the dog a bath once a month! So I think he has it pretty easy!
