Teens only! what do u like about being a teenager and what do you dislike about it?

i need to know what teens from this generation think about being a teenager!

Reply:I think its awsome. U are not too young and not too old. u dont have much adult responsibilities.
Reply:well, its fun socially, and i havent encountered any of the drug or peer pressure people always talk about, and i'm a junior in high school. however, its hard academics-wise, especially if you want to get into a good college. i cant wait to go to college though- i think life will be better out of home and high school, as much as i'll miss my family and friends.
Reply:Im 19, so i guess im still a teenager. I like the idea that we are living with better technology than previous generations, not only setting us apart from any other generation, but also giving us the upperhand against previous generations. Previous generations (parents and grandparents) have too much power and influence over the teenagers, so this balances things out a lil bit. i dislike the amount of freedoms that are given to teenagers. Teens have absolutely no freedom or responsibility in the U.S. when compared to any other country in the world. They are also looked at as ignorant and not listened too because they do not have a peace of paper saying they graduated from a top tier school...
Reply:im lovin every part of it. to me its TOTALLY unpredictable and im just 14!!!!! AND HONESTLY THERE IS NOTHING THAT I HATE ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!

Reply:i like being a teen cuz im more open minded and stuff (usually as u get older, ur mind closes more and more). i hate alot of things. lets see...the hormones, the mood swings, parents on ur case all the time, skool, not being able to vote, looked down upon, and not being given a chance to share my opinions or defend myself against adults cuz then it would be considered "talking back". *rolls eyes* adults just dont listen to us...
Reply:well, the best part(s) bout bein a teenager r getting 2 discover new vistas of life, makin new frnds,bein taken seriously, u get new gadgets, etc... like cell phones, laptops etc.... n da worst part about bein a teenager is the unability of ur parents n elders 2 understand u n ur way of thinkin.......... dat creates a lot of problems in ur family life alone......... let alone other parts of life.........

it sucks cause you got to be a hot, skinny blonde teen or no-one likes you and none of your problems are important cause your just and over-reacting teen
Reply:I'm 20, but when I was 15 or 16 I hated how adults (i.e my parents) refused to acknowledge my thoughts/feelings/ideas as valid - they were constantly saying "oh you always think you know everything, thats a rediculous idea, your just saying that because your friends are, thats puppy love itll never last" blah blah blah blah





And she'd usually say "you always think you know everything" when I was quoting something off of the news or something that she disagreed with - stuff that had nothing to do with "teenage thoughts"....it was like they were acting that way because they thought they were supposed to, not because of how I was actually behaving.





But I liked high school, and I liked the carefreeness of it all, and it was fun. College isnt so fun, but im sure that when im 25 or something i'll think otherwise.
Reply:I am 15 . I love the teenage talks . altough i never engage myself in the "boyfriend thing". But talking to girls about them and having fun, like bursting crackers in the classrooms (keeping the whole process safe) or other mischevious but harmless things excite me.





I also know that this is the most crucial period of my life where I have to study a lot. but that doesnot bring me off.





somebody had mentioned above that the parents suck I completly do not agree with her because i think they are the biggest gifts of the mighty Lord.





and i do not dislike any phase of my life so nicely created by God.
Reply:It all depends on what the situation is. Alot of teenagers get judged on their apperance.. Also some adults think teenagers are a whole lot of trouble when some can be helpful and caring. But being a teeneger is also all about peer pressure and being yourself. sometimes these things can be hard to handle.

Reply:i like that i can be who i am, when you're younger you have to like pink and play with barbies. when you're a teenager, you can like hollister, or banana republic, see where i'm going with this??


i dislike it, because everyone always says, oh you're just a teenager, like you dont know what you're talking about, or you're moody, sometimes, it's what you thinnk!!
