Teens smoke in the us?

I was wondering is it normal in the us for kids as young as 11 to smoke cigarettes?.In england its perfectly normal to see young people smoking on the street,i started when i was 11 and it was on of the biggest regrets of my life.so....Do teens in the us smoke and is it considered normal?

It depends on where you are in the usa. Usually if you are in a "ghetto" area...people often dont care because it becomes so common. In "rich" areas, people of course frown upon adult smokers, so 11 year old smokers wouldnt fly. In "middle" class areas, its a so so thing. I usually see 16 year old smokers, rather than 11 year olds.
Reply:it's fairly common from 15 up. There are laws about the sale of cigarettes to minors, but they start getting them in other ways.
Reply:Kind of, but not really. It depends where in the US one lives. But it is not too common overall.
