Teens: What sleeping pill do you take?

are there any suitable ones for teens? if so, what? i think i need sleeping pills (i'm 16) i just can't sleep even if i'm soooooooooooooooooo tired

Teens: What sleeping pill do you take?
I do not take sleeping pills - `slow suicide' pills - I exercsie if I can't sleep.
Reply:Ambien. Couple of those puppies and you won't remember a thing, except a good night's sleep.
Reply:Im 18 and I take bendryl whenever I cant sleep, and Ive been doing it since I was about 16. Its not addictive, but try not to rely solely on it. Also, benedryl doesnt help everyone fall asleep, it has different effects on everyone. Good Luck.
Reply:Reaching for the first sleep aid you find when insomnia hits? Not all sleeping pills are the same. Each class of sleep aid works a bit differently from the other, and side effects vary.

It's important to ask key questions before choosing your sleep medicine.

How long does it take for the sleeping pill to take effect?

How long do the effects last?

What's the risk of becoming dependent on the sleeping pill, physically or psychologically?

All sleep medicines have the potential for causing dependence. In the large majority of cases, however, this is psychological dependence, not physical.

Talk with your doctor and see what he/she suggest for you.
Reply:Instead of taking medications for sleeping, which isnt a good idea as they are highly addicitve, do this instead:

Take a warm bath before bed, turn out the lights in your room and just have a little lamp on. Find a book or a magazine that you like, curl up after your bath and give yourself some down time.

Your mind is likely working overtime without you realizing it. Also, cut out all caffine after 4pm and dont have anything with sugar in it after 4pm either.

Slpeeing pills are NOT the answer at all. Seriously.
