Smoking question to teens.?

I was just wondering if teens are still facing the peer pressure to smoke that I did when i was in high school. I'm 25 now and finally quit smoking a year ago and it was one the hardest things ive ever had to do. I am seeing less and less people smoking so im wondering if smoking is on its way out of "cool" things. I actually started to smoking before any of my friends. My cousin and i started to somehow egt back at our parents. yeah dumb thing to do which i payed for for way to long. Anyway...So teens: Would you say the pressure to smoke is still strong in high school? If you have friends that smoke, why do you think they started? Any answers welcome :)

yeah, I started by smoking rolled up toilet paper round my pals house (we couldn't afford posh things like toilet paper) when his parents were not at home. They were strong Recabites, so I suppose this was a kick-back on his part.
Reply:well i dont know about other schools, but people in my school value their lungs now and we pity the smokers (about 2 of them in my school). I dont think the pressure to smoke is a common thing now, its more about having sex now than anything which by the ways im not a part of. just becasue someone wants me to clog up my lungs to be "cool" doesnt mean i'll do it. I'd rather be bullied
Reply:well im not a teen and i didnt smoke because of pressure i smoked because i love the smell and aroma, i knew i would be a smoker from day one
